There are many threads out there that talk about GIC refund.

but none talk about the swift code/ ifs code:

in the refund form. it asks for swift code/ ifs code.

My vijaya bank has given me details of bank name, address and swift code of their correspondent bank in Canada (an account with bank of Montreal) which inturn will transfer it to my account here in India.

my bank wants me to also mention the BIC code.

the problem is I cannot write or type all these detail including the bic code in the space given by scotia bank in the refund form.

is this how it is done?

please advice quickly

anyone? please

if u look at Refund Wire Transfer Form given by scotia bank there is no such things like BIC no,,

u just need Swift Code and IFS Code... thats it.. every bank branch has individual Swift Code & IFS Code. no other info is needed.

EMAIL SUBJECT Line must be something like this...

Refund Request- Applicant Name, IP/ Account No, Passport Number, Date of Birth.

and email to newaccount@scotiabank.com

following Docs should be put in single pdf file and emailed.

1. Canadian Student Visa Refusal Letter
2. GIC Certificate
3. TT
4. Refund Wire Transfer Form and signed
