Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I am just new here and seems this site seems very helpful specially for my case. I am already overstayed for close to one year now. I also had given a letter telling me to leave the country ( Canada) as soon as possible. But I have a long time boyfriend and we were living together since 2010. Can he be able to sponsor me? What can I do now? pls help me.... :(

Yes , he can .... but must outland.....You should report to CBSA right now

thanks you. what is cbsa? but we wanted the inland coz we dont want to be separated from each other. Could that be possible too?

CBSA = Canada Border Services Agency

the letter they sent me goes like this...." You are a person in Canada without a legal status and such are required to leave immediately. If you do not leave Canada voluntarily, enforcement action will be taken againts you.

Sunsun...what does it mean...that is just part of the letter they sent when I I applied for the restoration of my work permit....

You do not have the option of staying with your boyfriend, even if he sponsors you. If you do not leave, they will deport you and it will be a LOT harder for you to EVER come back - even if someone sponsors you.

I suggest you LEAVE now and get a record showing you left and file an outland commonlaw application with your boyfriend since you have lived together for more than a year, you will qualify. You need proof of living together though (lease or sworn affidavit from landlord, etc) and proof of a genuine relationship.

I suggest you leave at your own will before they come for you or it will be very hard for you to come back.

Hi, ok granted that we both go back to my place. He mentioned of retiring from work if we decided to be in my plcae, can he still sponsor me? what route? thanks....

It means you should leave....I'm sorry...
Please read : " Once a removal order has been issued, the CBSA carries out the removal as soon as possible. The CBSA can assign an escort officer if there is a determination that an escort is required to facilitate the removal. If there are any health concerns, a medical officer may assist the CBSA in escorting the person out of the country. "

You better leave the country as soon as possible and apply outland. He has to be in Canada for you guys to file the applicantion as he will be sponsoring you.

Better accept the fact that you have to be separated for a while. It will lead you to a better status of staying here in Canada legally. You just really need to undergo the LEGAL WAY.

In fact, the more you dont wanna leave, knowing that they traced your ILLEGAL status, your situation will going to get worst as you will be escorted and deported. That means you will leave with a NEGATIVE record, instead of you leaving on your FREEWILL as soon as possible..

DOnt waste time, before its too late.. Action now!

If he's a Citizen, then yes, he could sponsor your in your country. It must be Outland.

If he's a PR, then no.

This is not quite correct. If he's a citizen, he can sponsor the applicant while living outside of Canada, like amikety said. He will have to prove his intention of going back to Canada with you and to settle there together when you get your PR, though.

I am assuming he is a PR.. Sorry for that misleading statement.

But you guys are right. If your sponsor is a citizen he can live with you outside canada.

Its better you leave now, or else you will be adding more negatives to your situation, actually the fact that u have over stayed for one year, honestly its gonna be more harder for you, even if you are sponsored outland, but still the best option is to leave and try make things better.

oK guys thank you for all of these replyies. But just aking what about this in sponsoring a spouse or common law partner or dependent children..." You can apply as a sponsor if your spouse, common-law or conjugal partner, or accompanying dependent children live with you in Canada, even if they do not have legal status in Canada. However, all the other requirements must be met. "
