SP dosnt expire, CIC sent the secure document to me both, however I received nothing, the address is OK. Now Im asking them to solve this problem, it may take several days, but I must sign a contract next week, if not, I will lose the job ! but I cant renew the SIN! What should I do? :'(

I'm probably being exceedingly stupid this morning, but I can't work out what you mean by SP?

Thank you! (Duh ;)!)

Explain the situation to your (potential) employer? Show proof.

I'm still not sure whether you have a current study permit and are waiting for a new one/renewal?

What do you mean by "the secure document (to me both)"? Your study permit?

What have CIC said they are doing to sort out the situation?

thank you~ :) my study permit is OK but I dont have a paper document. The CIC sent it to me twice but both of them were lost in post, so I cannt renew my SIN. Im still try to contact CIC but CIC is inefficient really....I wonder that there'll be no time

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful :(. To be honest, I don't think you can do anything about the SIN number until you have the study permit in hand. Also, as a general observation, work is a secondary aspect/privilege of a study permit: it's not going to be anyone's priority :(

Having said that, Have you sent a case specific enquiry to CIC explaining the urgency? And bugged the call centre about this?

And what do you have on hand to prove that a study permit has been issued but is somewhere in the mail?
