Hello did anybody know why cic have to reedo Background/security check again

hello everyone i have inland application just go my AIP but the cic said they have to do the Background/security check again one was done in 2008 ,since then have not left canada did any one know why they have to do it again or is just for them delay the application again

It doesnt matter if you have left Canada or not. There always need the latest record. Your old security/criminal checks may be expired since its almost 2 years they did your first security check. Normally i guess it is only valid for 6 months
