Hi everyone,

I ordered my CAIPS and just got them today. I applied for perm residency to Buffalo Aug 2011.
My CAIPS notes say a lot of due date does anyone know what that means?
Also, there is no BF'd in the document

They gave me all the points, and the updates seem to coincide when I got my first AOR from Nova Scotia and the 2nd one from Buffalo.

Anyone knows? ideas?

Thank you!

Would you please share detail of ur CAIPS report.
It takes how many days to get the report.

In the GCMS you will not find any BFD. The due date is the latest date at which each stage of your app. will be completed.
GCMS notes are different from CAIPS.

To get GCMS it takes usually from 30-45 days.

Am sorry, I am a little confused. What are the GCMS notes. I thought I got CAIPS...how are they different?

Also, if my due date is 11/01/2011, does that mean I should hear something (anything) before or on that date?

Thanks for the help!

It will say on the top of each page of the document that you received " GCMS information request: Application"

GCMS means Global Case Management System.

Here is some explanation that I found online:
"CAIPS is short for 'Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System'. It is the computer system historically used by Citizenship & Immigration Canada to process visa applications, and holds all the information on the current status of every immigration application being processed by overseas offices (i.e. those outside of Canada), other than new applications at offices which have switched to using the 'GCMS' system.

FOSS is the computer system historically used by CIC offices in Canada to track all immigration-related information, but like the CAIPS system is being superceded by GCMS.

GCMS is short for 'Global Case Management System', and is a newer computer system that CIC are rolling out across their offices. To ensure that we manage to obtain your file, we request both CAIPS/GCMS files or FOSS/GCMS files."

Thanks so much for the response...I verified and I indeed got the GCMS file...so we'll see....thanks!
