So I need some advice for healthcare in Canada. My family and I will be living as temporary residents in Victoria BC around August 1. I will have emergency coverage through UVic for a semster, but the coverage doesn't start till September 1. So my whole family needs emergency coverage. Is this easy to secure for temp residents? And how I would do that? And as temp residents, do we actually qualify for the MSP? If we don't qualify, can we get private insurance as temp residents? Any other info on coverage would be amazing.
