Health card in Manitoba on Arrival For New PR immigrants

I will be moving to canada asa new PR immigrant by Dec and i am 7 months pregnant.... Will i get the health card from day 1 of my arrival in Manitoba or will i have to wait for 3 months?

1. Yes you will be eligible from day one.

How can i be sure about that. Is it written somewhere?
Does this rule apply in ontario also?

You are eligible for coverage on your date of arrival in Manitoba when proof of Permanent Resident Status is provided or on the date Permanent Resident Status is granted."

Hii dear, what happened in your case actually my wife is in same boat. Do you get health benefits from day one of arrival? And what happened with expenses till you get your health card from applying it did you pay it from your pocket?

You get benefits once you get the card. You can walk in to your provincial registry and they will mail it to you. For the benefits you can see your provincial website.
