Health Card after PR

I have a query regarding the Health Card in Ontario. I recently finished the landing process and am now waiting for my PR card to come through. In the meanwhile, I would like to get my health card activated with the help of the signed CoPR document. I already hold a Health Card which is supposedly valid till the end of my BOWP (which by itself is no longer valid though after I did the landing).

In this scenario, do I still need to wait for 3 months from the date of landing to be eligible for the Health Card? If anyone went through the process recently then it would be great if you share some insight.

Your Health Card is still Active. The only difference is they will remove expiry from your card.

I went to service Ontario and got this info.

For expiry removal you need to go to main branch of service Ontario of your city.
