I've been dating my Canadian boyfriend for about a year and a half now. I'm looking to make a move to Canada when he returns to Canada, but I had a few questions about him sponsoring me.
1. If I get the sponsorship visa, does this qualify me to work as well, or do I need to obtain another permit / work visa on top of the sponsorship visa?
2. What kind of 'proof' is needed to prove that we are in a relationship. I'd assume pictures, chats, letters, letters from friends are all good? How much is usually needed?
3. While we have been 'together' for a year and a half, we haven't been able to live together for a year due to visa issues / contractual obligations. I know this excludes us from having a common-law sponsorship visa. However, could he still sponsor me for a conjugal visa?
4. I'm not allowed to have any government money used on me, I know. But does this extend to health care as well?
Thank you.
