So, at my last pre-hearing conference, I was told by the member that my government had sent the IRB a USB stick complete with evidence and that they didn't know what it was. Truth be told, I didn't know what it was either. So, the Member said that he wasn't going to include the videos as evidence in my case but he would see if he could send me a copy of the USB stick.
I got the USB stick today. And its contents are mindblowing. They totally prove my case. They show how the police treated me versus how they treated my abuser (with kid gloves, friendliness, etc). They even told him that he wasn't going to face any consequences for the crimes he committed against me apart from losing a weekend in jail. They were right about that, by the way. The District Attorney refused to prosecute the case. I believe this is evidence to prove that the culture in my country of origin hinders my ability to get state protection to a high degree.
So, my question to you all is - could I ask for the member to let me have another pre-hearing conference prior to the hearing? Especially given that it is scheduled for the 9th of March, time is of the evidence because now, I'd like the videos included in the evidence.
