Haven't heard back from April 2020 Common-Law Inland Sponsorship application

The only thing we have gotten in the mail was a letter for the biometrics fee to be paid around October 2020 and that was it. We paid the fee and submitted it right away and still haven't heard anything. Is there something else we should do to follow up, or this just delays because of COVID? Just trying to get a sense of what to do going forward.

For reference we also applied for open-work permit and extended the visitor visa until April 2021.

Everything is taking longer right now due to COVID.

Has the OWP been approved yet?

Everything is delayed, however I would have though you would have heard something about the OWP by now.

I would order your GCMS notes to see what's going on.

Recommend that you find and join the April 2020 inland thread to see what others are experiencing.
