I’m an international student currently in Canada. I already have my valid study permit, but I recently applied to renew my visa so I could get a new visa counterfoil (sticker) on my passport.
I received a passport request from IRCC, sent in my passport, and later got an email confirming that the visa stamping was successful. However, it’s now been about a month, and I still haven’t received my passport back.
I used the return tracking number from my Canada Post Xpress envelope, but it keeps saying “no tracking information available.” It looks like my passport hasn’t been sent out yet.
Since this was just a visa renewal and not a new study permit application, I didn’t expect it to take this long. Has anyone else experienced a similar delay recently? Is there any number I can call or another way to check the status of my passport?
