Hello All,

I am filling my CEC forms and will be completing my one year experience in Jan 2014.

The below are the questions that i need some clarifications:

1) I am filing CEC for me and my wife. I have filled Form IM0008 which has questions about me and my wife, do i also need to fill IM0008DEP form for my wife. I assume no! Please advise.

2) During filing my workpermit form mistakenly i have mentioned the wrong year of birth of my dad. Can i correct it now in the form IM5406E.

3) Filling form IMM5669E-Background Declaration. In personal history it says to give all the details if you were outside the country? Do i need to give them the details if i have went for tourism as well or only if lived there more than 6 months.

4) The above form also asked the details about the education, association with the organizations. Should i submit the proof of the work i did for social organizations, should i request a letter from that organization. Also do i need to submit all my education certificated for me and my wife in xerox. Does it needs to certified by attorney.

5) The above form says to list all the addresses you lived in past 10 years should i give them the address of the hotels while i was away from the country for the tourist.

5) Do we need to submit all the pages in the passport including the old ones with the application.

6) My wife arrived 1 month ago in Canada does she requires a police clearance certificate from Canada as well.

Thanks for the help.

5) no
5) no, just main pages
6) you do not need police certificate from Canada

Hi......Comments attached...Good Luck!

Please advise...........No DEP form for wife and kids.

2) During filing my workpermit form mistakenly i have mentioned the wrong year of birth of my dad. Can i correct it now in the form IM5406E...............You can correct in new form, knowingly updating wrong DOB is not legal.

3) Filling form IMM5669E-Background Declaration. In personal history it says to give all the details if you were outside the country? Do i need to give them the details if i have went for tourism as well or only if lived there more than 6 months...................Yes , provide all, no harm. Attach extra sheet if required.

4) The above form also asked the details about the education, association with the organizations. Should i submit the proof of the work i did for social organizations, should i request a letter from that organization. Also do i need to submit all my education certificated for me and my wife in xerox. Does it needs to certified by attorney. ............No proof required....& no Education certifiates to be attached either....CIC will do their own validation via background check.

5) The above form says to list all the addresses you lived in past 10 years should i give them the address of the hotels while i was away from the country for the tourist......Not necessary, but doesnt harm.

5) Do we need to submit all the pages in the passport including the old ones with the application. ....No, New one and only with required details...dont provide too much for CIC as they are working on too many appln.
6) My wife arrived 1 month ago in Canada does she requires a police clearance certificate from Canada as well......Not even for you as...canada will do their own check and no certificate required.

Thanks for the help.

Not sure if this is appropriate or not, I don 't think you need to fill in all the short trips here? as they would be listed in the separate form for travelling history? I did not list all my trips for one or 2 months here.

In my payslips, employer has not mentioned the number of hours i worked biweekly and the rate per hour can i write it with the pen.

No, better to ask for the no of hours from employer to be specified on the letter and if they object attach the same objection mail and declare yourself with affidavit to suport the same.

In the reference letter employer is mentioning the number of hours worked per week as 40. But the same is not mentioned in the biweekly payslips what i am getting.

If you already have the reference letter stating a weekly of 40Hrs then why would you be sending a PAYSLIP/PAYSTUB?
You can send your T4 and NOA instead.

Do we require reference/Character letter from a friend or any Canadian peers with whom we are working to submit with the CEC application form.

If it's not on the document checklist, you do not need it.

Whatever is declared in the letter must be supported by the information in your T4 / Notice of Assessment. You don't have one yet for 2013 but you will soon enough, you can apply with the T4/NOA from 2012 and a note saying you will add the documents from 2013 as soon as you receive them.

If your letter says you work 40 hours per week and you are paid hourly, your annual earnings ( as confirmed by your tax documents) had better well show the same. If there are major discrepancies, you could very well be refused.

Pay slips are OPTIONAlL, they are not a required document. They should only be submitted if for some reason you are lacking other documentation, AND they support your case. It is possible to provide too much information :)

Please seniors can you reply to the above querry.
