Just putting the spousal application together and wondering where I put my husband's daughters information as she is 25 years old is in a common law relationship and has a baby born April 9th 2014. I want to make sure all 3 are on the application. I would like to get this sent off on monday if at all possible.

I am just wondering why you are putting her on the application if she is in a common law relationship. Has she been in school full time.The law states under 22 and must not be in a commonlaw relationship.

hi,,Im a cuban citizen living in miami,,my fiancee is french canadian,,,we are getting married in cuba next month,,,and then we will file our Outland sponsorship documents with my permanent residence application(probably it will go to the ottawa office since i live in usa)

I know a lot about all this immigration stuff so,,if you guys need any help let me know,,(since im cuban i know how cuban immigraiton works)

Just received a letter from CIC stating that my application is incomplete I have a copy of the application and it was complete. But the application forms are 07-2014 and I sent the app July 11,2014. Now the form is 08-2014.

How do I get my husbands signature when he is in Cuba.

Did they actually say that they wanted that form again? It's odd that they didn't specify what was missing. Can you call them and ask why it's incomplete?

If you really do need his signature, you have to send him the form and get him to sign and send back to you. Or if someone you know is going to Cuba they can give to him? I know that getting things to/from Cuba is so hard.

My husband has a daughter who is 25 and now she is married and has a daughter We put her and the baby on the application as family when we applied but not the fiancee as there was no where for that info. After approval will my husband beable to sponsor them ?????

Hi All!

I'm new to the forum and appreciate hearing everyone's stories, and figured I would add my 2 cents...

We are in the process of the immigration application.
-Application rec'd at Mississauga office (as per Canada post) July 17.
-Rec'd sponsor approval email Aug 26.
-Email indicated the application was sent to Havana office-> there was a note on it that the medical is missing (we decided to wait until we saw some movement in the process, as my hubby is near Holguin, and Havana is a long trip with a 10 year old daughter. Didn't want to do it twice, in case it took longer than 12 months)
-Medical appt scheduled for Sept 26 & 27
-Application for certificate of selection (Quebec) being sent tomorrow, express Canada Post.

Waiting and hoping for a quick and seamless process. FINGERS CROSSED!!! GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!

Not enough time to send to Cuba and back

Hi Galano,

They sent me the same letter when I submitted in February 2014. I redid the forms and signed my husbands signature and sent them back registered mail the same day and now my application status is "in process". I suggest you do the same because it worked for me. Not really a big deal

Anyone else know how long from "In process" to "decision made". we are super anxious over here.
