I replied to the question (has XXX applied to IRCC before?) with no... I study in Canada with a study permit!

Now I got ITA.. some ppl say the answer to this question should be yes.. is it true?

As far as I know ..it should have been 'YES' as you applied for study permit and got it. for question related like " Has xxx been refused visa...." should be 'NO' as your study permit application was approved.

If i fix it now will this be misrepresentation and my appplication will be rejected?

Inform it to IRCC as soon as possible and explain that you got confused or whatsoever the reason was. I think it will go through. I don't want to scare you but you know, at the end of the day the discretion lies with the powers of visa officer.

You are submitting ePR right now? It will be asked again, you can answer"yes".

What is ePR?.. i recieved invitation to apply.... now im filling all the info and i have the same question again..
Submitting your documention after ITA.
You can answer correctly now. The application is asking this again.

Its a confusing question IMO, I have studied in Canada as well but the question sounds more like "Have you applied for PR before?".
I answered with NO as well.

If you've applied for a study/visitor/work permit then the answer is "yes" to "has XXX applied to IRCC before?" question.

Period.

Really? I have to look at again.

I think in eAPR they ask - has the applicant applied for PR before ?

Folks,

I'm in the same boat and did the same mistake "just like everyone I know applying from Canada :D".. I answered "no" while ironically chose country of residence as Canada and mentioned that am a student and a graduate of Canada in the application :D..

Dear senior level forum members what should we do? If we fix it in eAPR and humbly explained in the LOE, would we be rejected?

Bumping this thread up.
Does anybody who made this mistake and raised a CSE got PPR recently ?
It will help others to know how this mistake affects your application.
