Hi guys, I came across an article online (here http://www.edmontonjournal.com/Thousands+temporary+foreign+workers+lose+chance+stay+Alberta/10310578/story.html) concerning the AINP. Please I would like to confirm if the AINP has been suspended. If not then could someone please explain the current situation regarding the AINP.

Nope it is not.
The article deals about problems faced by most applicants as the processing time is fairly lengthy and most applicants' work permit expires by the time their file is processed resulting in automatic decline of their applications.
Check the processing time on ainp website.
Cheers
