No, as long as you are within 6 months processing time.

Even after 6 months are over you can just request them politely via CSE to ask for status update.

No one can speed up your application process, all applications are placed in queue, by date of submission, date cic received the application.
You can request something called GCMS notes to check the Officers notes on your files.
Try calling them after 6 months you mighty get lucky and find someone nice in the call center to access your file.
