I think they have started sending out letters of ineligibility to those who are found to be ineligible under the new rules.
Anyone received their letter yet?

I believe it will take at least 1-2 weeks before anything starts happening. But it could take less, or even more.

I think it is highly unlikely they will send ineligibility letters to applicants whose claims are already referred to IRB and apply after June 3, 2025. These claims are currently being processed by IRB and it would be challenging to take all those 35K files out of IRB authority and forward them to PRRA. I believe ineligibility rules are for those claims that were not referred.

Regardless of whether it was referred to the IRB or not, everyone who applied after June 3rd 2025 should receive an ineligibility letter. Anything less would be unfair.

I mean no offense to you, but this was you less than a year ago↓
Furthermore, technically, if you're changing a rule or making a major change, you should only be able to apply it to new applications. You can't apply such major changes to applications that have already been processed for a long time. If there's any justice, these issues need to be resolved somehow.

It's also important to note that Bill C-2 and Bill C-12 are deeply flawed bill proposals. No government in any country should be granted such sweeping powers. Such bills may be usual for Middle Eastern countries, but they are not right for Canada.
You do not know each persons situation, and some people might be in dire need of help and are about to get stuck in limbo due to the new ruling. So as a refugee seeker, why not be considerate? I understand your frustration if you have been waiting for a while, but remember others affected might be in the same and/or worse situation than the one you were once in.
