I just got a letter from Citizen office saying that my application is incomplete, because I did not include my photocopies of my school record preceding to the date of application ( not the language efficiency). So I got back the whole file/application but stamped by CIC official on the date he or she reviewed I guess.
So they gave me two options and they are the following:
Option 1: resubmit an application + the missing document + proof of payment
Option2: ask for refund and opt not to resubmit the application.

I am choosing Option 1, but here is what I need to know; can I resubmit the same application that they sent ( which I filled three months ago) and do I need to send a new proof of payment or just use the one they sent back to me.

please anyone help

You can submit the same application along with the missing documents or fill up a new application...choice is urs...and just send the receipt of the payment made 3 months ago...no need for another payment

If you were not suppose to provide the school documents, send the old application back, along with a cover letter/letter stating you do not have any school records in the past 4 years. It could be an oversight by the CIC official

When did you apply, how long did it take them to send that letter, what did you originally provide them with, thanks

I took a couple of advanced english courses at concordia university, I dont know why I mentioned them in the application ( stupid mistake), it would have been better if I didnt mention them. so I forgot to include a copy of my transcript.
I applied on the 16th of May, I got a letter this last friday Aug 15th,2013, that my app. is incomplete. I must include the missing document(transcripts), bummer.
thank you all for the response

I don't understand why CIC takes 3 months to figure there is something wrong with your application! Even if they stamped the application has been reviewed before returning, does that mean you have to go to the back of the line? I am no sure if CIC would like to make sure that every applicant has completed well above the minimum 1095 required days!

I forgot to write my name on the back of the photo, and I submitted my application in July, so I guess I should be prepared to send the package once again.

It is really furstrating process.

dafunk - did they contact you by e-mail of did you actually get a physical letter via snail mail?

My wife finished OSLT course at Conestoga College and she got certificate from
Conestoga College, can she attached the certificate and a letter from the teacher stating the course name, duration, absences days as school record (not as proof of language, as she completed Celpip LS and she will included as proof of language) .
