how long did you wait to get your request granted?

I'm on 2nd stage of H&C app, PCC and medical (myself and my husband) all done and submitted . I'm primary applicant, my husband is included with my app (his status is protected person) but he's inadmissible due to conviction 8 years ago. I did submitted a letter request exemption from inadmissible family member and been waiting for almost 2 months. We do have Canadian born children. Do you think I have a chance to get granted? and how long I have to wait?
