I was in Malaysia last year for Shell Eco marathon 2011 and met a lot of Indians there and in fact we had some very good "gup shup".......there is an annual picture session that takes place on the Sepang F1 track. It involves participants along with their cars (for competing) and then is published at several locations

We Pakistani and Indians decided that after this picture session we all will chant "naraas" of Pakistan - India friendship! This was a gesture which was officially acknowledged by the Shell authorities and they made announcements during the 4 day event of this act of friendship to be an example.

Immediately when we were done with the "naraas", a gora (he was an official photographer and probably a british) came to our gathering (both Pakistanis and Indians were present) and said; "who has got the better cricket team?" >:(

What i mean to say is that the GORA couldn't stand this association and friendship among the Pakistani and Indians for one bit! He tried to induce a difference in us so that our attention is diverted from all this! This is how sick they are......but the best part was that nobody (nor an Indian nor a Pakistani) replied to that !@#%%

Its the general public's attitude that will ultimately make a difference no matter what our govt's think!

Just thought of sharing this experience since it is a good day to do so :)

In 2009, I was in Germany for Shell Eco Marathon and met a lot of Indian friends there, we came quite close to one another and enjoyed our time together. Secondly, in my job I have had interaction with a lot of Indian friends, my segment manager is an Indian and we have good relation. Some of my best friends at work are also Indians.

Respect for all of them and expect the same in return.
