I'm applying for a study permit soon and will be applying through the VAC just to make sure they have the biometrics and photos done right.

My concern is regarding the application form. Should I type in the pdf->print and then sign after or print out empty form and then hand fill it out.

Also is attestation of documents necessary? I have not read it anywhere but I keep seeing this term pop up in numerous discussions.

Could someone please shed some light on this.

You need to press the Validate Button at the bottom of form which will generate the Bar Codes and then you need to take its printout.
So fill the form ONLINE within pdf, press the validate button and it will generate the Bar Codes and then take its print. Now you can sign on this printed form where the applicant signatures are required.

If you are attaching some photocopies then it is recommended to attach the Notarized copies.

Notorized photocopies are needed only if your degrees/transcripts/marksheets are in a language other than English Or French.

notarization is recommended for photocopied documents to prove that they are authentic.

Hello

Have a query

I have validated, got the barcode. now i realized, i made a spelling mistake in my house address.
Shall i again have to click validate and will the data on barcode change?

Or can i just reprint the page where i edited and get it fixed with the remaining pages?

No! The Barcode has the data stored of your application after you validate. So if you have made any changes,it needs to be validated again.

that means, we need to validate everytime we make changes on the form. RIGHT?\\\

YES.

Should I notarize the documents other than Marksheets like work experience related documents?

you have already got an answer but still I want to mention this:

whenever you open this form (study visa application form from outside canada), the small no. at the bottom right corner of every page changes, if you save changes when exiting then new no. at bottom right corner is saved and so on.

so, if you ever need to re-print a single page without editing any data, then make sure that the no. at the bottom right corner of every page is same.
