Hi,

I am currently on H1B (Indian Citizen) second phase (2 yrs remaining) in USA. Because of uncertain US economy and long line for US Green Card, I am very interested in moving to Canada. I work in Information Technology and I came to know that on 26th June,2010 Canadian government removed "Information Technology" from the NOC.

I have following questions:

1. Is it possible for my company to transfer me to Canadian office (Toronto)?
PS- I am not at managerial level but I have product specific knowledge.

2. For transfer, do they still have to go through the labor market tedious process?
Or, will it be easy and simple. Any rough estimate on processing time will be greatly appreciated.

3. If transferred, can I file for PR within 1 month? Do I need any letter of support from my employer for the PR? What should the letter say?

Thank you very much.
Regards
K

1. IT NOC no. was omitted for PR on June 26 from primary NOC list
2. So Managerial level is not mandatory, as this would be arranged employment in Canada

When you were working for company A in India and when they transfer you to USA, they file temp. work visa for you so that you can work in USA, same for Canada, they would need to file for temp. work visa; have to go through the labor market process.

3. If transferred, can I file for PR within 1 month? Do I need any letter of support from my employer for the PR? What should the letter say?
you would need to check if NOC for IT is available in secondary list or not.

Thank you very much.
