H1b Stamping in Canada

Hello,

I am planning to get H1b stamping done in Canada. I know it was suspended during Covid, I wanted to know if the stamping operations have resumed. If yes, how much time does it take to get an appointment?

I am Indian citizen and staying in Canada on work permit. Want to schedule H1B stamping. Will I be eligible for interview waiver ? for Q#1 is YES for me?

(Q#3/#4/#5 my previous H-1B stamped in India are YES for me). If I choose NO to this, its asking me to pay fees on next page and shows earliest available dates for scheduling of interview. (first available at Toronto is Nov 15, 2022), is there any process to get earlier dates or get a interview waiver ?

Qualifying statements applicable to citizens or nationals of countries that are NOT part of the Visa Waiver Program (VWP).
1.Applicant is a national or permanent resident of the country in which the applicant is applying, and
2.If applying for J visa class, the applicant is applying for an academic J visa (secondary or university student, professor, research scholar, short-term scholar, or specialist), and
3.Applicant has been previously issued a U.S. visa (any class of visa), and
4.Applicant submitted ten fingerprints when the previous U.S. visa was issued, and
5.Applicant answered 'NO' to all of the Medical and Health, Criminal, Security or Immigration Law Violation questions on the DS-160 visa application form

I did say YES to all of the above considering I'm living in Canada through Work Permit but not a Permanent Resident. They asked me to send the documents. of which "COPY OF PROOF OF YOUR LEGAL STATUS IN CANADA" - Can I send Work Permit or they need PR card in that case I'm not eligible.

Please request to review and answer me. Your response is greatly appreciated !

Hi.. I'm in same boat, Can we send Work permit as proof of legal status and send the documents for drop box eligibility?

Hi dsatkumar,
I am also in the same boat. Are you applying for H1b work for first time or you are extending your H1b Visa?

Two questions - I got the visa appointment for Vancover but Location selected on DS-160 is Calgary.. will that be ok?

2) Can we take toddler kid(US citizen) during Visa appointment, since there is no place to drop the kids. please advice.
