H1 to H4

Me and spouse are in USA with i140 approved for both of us. We have canada PR. I have a job lined up in canada and I plan to move in a month or so. My wife will stay for the time being and move after 4-5 months, We both have stamped H1 from India.

So, once I move to Canada:
1. Can I apply H4 in Canada immediately?
2. What is the process? Just a DS160, pay fees and send documents?
3. Any risks/chance of denial I should be aware of?

So, if your wife is also going to move to Canada in 4-5 months its better for you to apply B1/B2 visa instead of H4. Coz that would help you in future to travel without the dependency of your wife to USA. Also the border officials would raise questions once your wife also moves out and you intend to enter using H4.
