Hi,

I sent my docs for FBI clearence on Jan 22 and haven't heard back anything yet.

My deadline to send docs to CIC is April 1, 2010. Now, I have decided to send my application to CIC without FBI clearance. Could you pls. tell me how can I send the remaining docs to CIC after submitting the application. Also, for a single applicant , how much fee needs to pay in canadaian dollars. Can I pay in US dollars?

Thanks in advance,

Aliya

OMG, I didn't fill in "PNP" in "other" box, just check the "economic class". I didn't notice this when I filled my form. What should I do? Will they return my package? Usually how long can we get a returned package?
True...dnt worry abt this! I wrote it here as it was mentioned only in nomination papers and no where else.. ...i noticed and just wanted to share! CIC returns application for bigger stuff like not sending H1B status details, incorrect fee amount, some major problem in filling application...this is a small thing & they will not return your application for this reason...its too small a thing to worry about.

There are few who have sent without FBI cert & hv their checks encashed....but since you have time till April1st...i would wait for a week or ten days before sending the application. Is your Nomination expiring in April or is it the PCCs? I also wanted to send my application without FBI but happy that i waited....thanks to members here who advised me to wait.

desikiVAAT,

Thanks for your reply. My nomination will be expired on April 1. FBI hasn't encashed my check so far.. Is it still worth waiting for it..

How much do I need to pay for a single applicant in US dollars?

Thanks!!

Hi All,

I thought I want to share this as it reduces confusion in somany forum members. My friend submitted the application to CIC with out pcc,fbi and with out properly mentioned dates on his back-ground check .They returned his application including cheque asked him to correct about the dates where he lived etc in the application not for FBI,PCC etc.

Menaning-- If your cheque is cleared means application has been verified up to some extent and you are good, if any other documents are required they will ask you later period of time.

Thank you
Virgo

Yes, you need to include the checklist. The first page of Appendix A in Buffalo Instructions (http://www.cic.gc.ca/EnGLish/pdf/kits/guides/E37048.pdf) says:

Gather documents as listed. Check each item on the checklist and attach the checklist to your photocopied documents (a paper clip will do).

But I'm not sure whether CIC returns application for not attaching the checklist (I haven't seen such a case in this forum).

All, Jasper is correct CIC haven't returned any application for not attaching the check list. It's due to other reasons only.

I my self did not include checklist but still they deposited my cashier check.

But make sure that you have every thing included according to check list.

Thanks

Re: H1-Alberta PNP-nominations NOV'09 and later+PCC, FBI,CIC application discuss

I completed the CIC application based on input I read from the posts here and note that I've done things (correctly) that I failed to read in the guides! Many thanks to many folks here for due diligence and writing of their findings. The post by virgos helped a lot:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/h1alberta-pnpnominations-nov09-and-laterpcc-fbicic-application-discussion-t30486.0.html;msg231181#msg231181

and specifically this web page from CIC: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/imm/quebec_prov_hints-conseils.aspx?lang=eng

Jasper, I mailed my application and this was recd by Buffalo office yesterday. And has your atty sent in your appln?

All the best,
Manny

The "Travel Documents and Passports" section of Buffalo Instructions says "If you live in a country different from your nationality, include a photocopy of your visa for the country where you currently live." So we should include the copy of either I-797 or H1-B visa in our applications.

check encashed on 03/15/10.

Thanks,

Hi Manny,

My application hasn't reached Buffalo yet and my lawyer is still reviewing it (The law firm usually sends out packages on Mondays, so hopefully next week). But I understand the lawyers are working on cases in which AINP sent closing-file letter to applicants and I feel very sorry about the cases, so I don't mind even if my application is late for a couple of weeks.

BTW I updated your timeline in CIC spreadsheet!
