  1. We received your application for permanent residence on January 23, 2019.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 14, 2019.
  3. We started processing your application on July 31, 2020.
  4. We sent you a letter on February 14, 2019. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
I have read on this forum that Decision Made before receiving AIP is not positive news. I suggest you call them or even read through H&C thread here on this forum. Good luck

Hi Guys,
Please give me your thoughts about this:
I am applying for H&C ( my daughter is below 18) and her passport is expired. Do you consider this is positive news while applying for H&C?
Sincere thanks

Do you mean the fact that her passport has expired? If so, then I don't think this has any influence on the decision one way or the other.

Thank you very much for the quick reply. I found total 7 questions to answer for H&C application ( IMM 5283). I think this is the key area to present about our case and situation. Are there any guidelines/samples how to present our reply for these questions. Thanks

If you haven’t already done so, I would strongly suggest using a lawyer for your H&C application.

Hi, I'd like to share my experience. Yes, those questions are key for your application. Please, find an expert than can help you to explain and answer the questions. I received the approval a couple weeks ago and I couldn't did it alone. Include the best information about your life in Canada, course or community involvement such a pictures, course participation letters for you or your kids. I'm praying for your application and I hope you win too.

Sincere thanks for your kind response.
May I know how long it takes from the date of submission?
I gathered all the information meticulously and wanted to present them in the questionnaire.
Are there any organizations/ volunteers do it for us ( reviewing and guiding us, even with the small fee)
Appreciate your help.

I received the first response requesting me the Criminar Record check three months later of submit the application and four months more for the final response in total seven months but, every case is different and the time also is different for everyone. I have a friend that received a positive response one year after submit the application and others received in two.
About organizations and volunteers according to my experience it was very hard find help fortunately I found an honest and ethical lawyer that could help me obviously not free but it was fair.
Think in your application like a final project at the University in which you have to explain the reasons why you can't leave Canada and if you have kids what is the best for them. Show your data using a table content with your documents correctly showed and your timeline in Canada, your financial independence (not government help), use relevant family pictures that show how you and your family have been integrated in the culture and community. I requested letters from friends send real letters if you have 10 letter from friends just send 10 because is the truth. Explain how you will suffer if you leave this wonderful country, your friends, courses taken and institutions such a Church and how your kids will be affected with a change. Finally try that the all information should be easy to find to the Official that will analice your case. I'm not expert but this is my experience and I'm very sure others have a different story but I hope this information will be helpful to you. The best is look for an expert and don't do this alone. This is the advice that I received in this forum months ago. Good luck!

Unfortunately people are under the false impression that getting H&C for parents is easy. Parents have access to both supervisas and PGP which is how the government wants parents to use.
