H&C Application decision made

I have applied in land application for my son, under the H&C Category. We have received the H&C approval and done the medical. the ECas is showing the following status. Can anybody advice me what are the next steps.

We received your application for permanent residence on March 28, 2013.

We started processing your application on May 16, 2013.

Medical results have been received.

A decision was made on December 5, 2013 on your application. You should receive a decision shortly. Note that decisions are either delivered by mail or in person. Also note that the CIC Call Centre is not authorized to provide information related to the outcome of your application.

If I had to guess, I would say you will get your sons COPR/landing in the mail or however they finish with a childs sponsorship package.

What is a "childs sponsorship package", and how much time does it takes. Will CIC send the PR card directly, or there is a separate process to apply for the PR card.

The package is what you sent in to sponsor your son. No, they don't send the PR card directly. Wherever your son lands they will take care of the application to get his first PR card sent to your home address. How long it all takes from start to finish really depends on each case.

You obviously have a Decision made on his case. You should've received some sort of notice by this point regarding that decision. If you have not, then I would suggest contacting your VO and finding out why.
