Hi ,

Finally, I got Canada Visitor Visa V1 category on 21 March 2018 which is valid till 16 March 2021 and my wife also got V1 category visa as well on 21 March 2018 which is valid till 05 June 2020.

I checked both the passports expiry dates and those are same 16 march 2021 ( mine ) and 05 June 2020 ( my wife ).

.....I am planning to go Canada with my wife in mid of April 2018.

.....I am planning to be settle there with my wife legally.... We have No Kids...

I have done Msc IT and have 8 years experience as Senior Tech Support, Senior Quality Analyst in ( Dell, IBM, Tech M etc. in India ).. I am also MICROSOFT CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL AS WELL.

My wife done BRT ( Bachelor in radiation technology ), with 20 years exp in ( MRI, CTSCAN, XRAYS ETC ).

My Concerns:

Q1. Do we again apply for new Canada visa once these one expire as our Canada visas also expire on the same dates when our passports expire?

Q2. If I look for a job there and luckily get a work permit, then can my company apply for PR after 1 year and do I give IELTS again then ?

(Imp) : I gave IELTS in general category in 2011 with overall 6.5 band. Do I need to give again , IF IN CASE MY EMPLOYER APPLY ( PR ) FOR ME **** DO I GET ANY RELAXATION IN IELTS BAND..LIKE MINIMUM HOW MUCH I NEED TO SCORE IN IELTS AT THAT TIME , IF I GET BENEFIT OF MY EMPLOYER TO SUBMIT PAPERS FOR MY PR ?

Q3. Many people said max we can get 6 months stay in Canada at a time, so to be stay longer after 6 months what are the options for us other than job?

Q4. Can someone tell about any companies or resources who guide us there to be settle?

Thanks….

Your plan is not realistic. That’s not how it works in Canada. I know some countries allow visit visa holders to get work permits after they arrive, but not Canada. It is easier to apply for PR as a foreign worker than to get a work permit from inside Canada.

To get a company to apply for your work permit or sponsor you for PR, they would need to apply for an LMIA, which they never want to do because it’s an expensive and time-consuming process with high rejection rates.

If you want to settle you might try to look into LMIA-exempt work migration programs like the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program, which I believe favors your background in tech support/IT.

Hi,

Apparently there are some misconceptions about the basics.

Q1. Do we again apply for new Canada visa once these one expire as our Canada visas also expire on the same dates when our passports expire?
Your TRVs only allow you to board a plane and travel to Canada. How long you are actually allowed to remain/stay will depend on the immigration officer whom you will meet at the POE. The maximum length could be 6 months.

You can apply to extend your stay about 30 days before your authorized visitor status expires. For this, you must prove you have reasons to extend your stay + finances.

Your TRV does not allow you to stay continuously at one stretch until the TRV or your passport expires.

Your IELTS score is currently not valid. Your IELTS General score must be valid i.e. less than two years old on the date your submit your PR application.

You must aim to get the highest scores for all four testing abilities (Writing/ Reading/ Listening/ Speaking) to get the maximum points for language skills for EE PR

Cheers

Hi, If you want to work in Canada, apply for a Permanent Residence and not a visitor visa. A V1 visa is only for tourist and visit Purposes.

I am sorry for my language, but due to this thought process, alot of genuine bonafide tourists are suffering. Please follow the immigration rules.

I have a PR, please let me know if you need any help.
