My husband lives in Montreal as a full time student on student visa.. I got married on 29 July 2015 .. We got only 1 month to live together .. After that we gathered all document n applied on spouse open work permit for my vissa as this is opportunity for students in Quebec .. I applied on 28 Nov. 2015 since there is no further processing in my application ... As for Pakistan their time is 9 months
Now I want to apply on visitor visa becoz visitor visa has only 47 days for processing ... N I want to go to my husband ASAP.... My questions are
Can I apply on visitor visa widout withdrawing my SOWP visa application if I can apply which application will b consider n working 1st .. What is the better option 4 me... Plzz guide me plzzz I need expert advice

Applying for a visitor visa now with or without withdrawing ur spouse OWP visa will mess up ur chance..they will consider ur OWP application if u submit visitor visa app n most probably conclude tht u wont b coming back..wait for the OWP visa app to reach a decision!

But as a Pakistani I took 9 months..... And I never heard that this spow is offered to Pakistani... Feeling like stuck... That I'll never get spow visa becoz of Pakistani resident n now neither I can apply trv

You can either withdraw or wait for your work permit. It is difficult to show dual intention for it. You can give it a try and explain CIC that how you want to visit him since you have not seen him for a long time.

My friend from Pakistan applied thrice for his wife. He got it on the third time.

I am in similar situation.

I applied for my spouse open work permit in last week of Jan-2016, she is in Pakistan. But looking at time lines, it look like they will take ages to process it. Now I am thinking to apply for her TRV, but I dnt know either whether is it allowed or not, and what impact will it have on her SOWP application?
I am posting my question in this forum, "FKL" is senior member and he might be able to answer our questions,

Let me know if you find any other solution.
