Hi All, I seek your help. I am an Indian and it is about my daughter's application.

1. She is in Canada and invited to apply. She lost her job after she had made the initial application. She forgot to update her initial application about job loss and meanwhile received her invitation. The job was not considered in her scores for express entry since it was non-LMIA job. Now while responding to invitation she is going to change her status as not employed. How does this impact the application?

2. Being Indian, for Police Clearance Certificate (PCC), she has to approach Indian embassy in Canada. HOWEVER since I am here in India I can obtain PCC for her. Would that serve the purpose or it is a must to go to Indian Embassy in Canada?

Thanks in advance.

She can provide a short note that she became unemployed after submitting the application and is currently between jobs. As it was not considered for her scores, it won't be an issue

Thanks in advance.

Hi, see above.

You cant obtain a PCC for your daughter in India. India stamps the PCC on the passport and it's illegal to post Indian passports overseas. The PCC issued from India is very different from PCC issued by Indian missions abroad. The PCC has the place of issue and the place of issue will not match the travel history of your daughter. Your daughter will have to obtain it from the Indian mission in the country she is living in.
