Hi folks, I'm in US and have offers of employment in Canada, and desire to come into country asap with wife (who doesn't work) and kids, and get PR eventually.
One co is suggesting the GTS (Global Tech Stream) Visa route while another suggests Nafta/USMCA visa.

1. Is there a difference in processing times between the two, given COVID etc?
2. Is one or the other better for eventual PR/EE process?
3. Would my wife need OWP, and what is needed for kids to come in at the same time?
4. Is it really possible to apply for NAFTA/USMCA visa at POE?

many thanks

For (1) and (4): Nafta/USMCA category is for eligible U.S. and Mexican citizens with requisite education and experience to work in Canada. And because U.S. and Mexican citizens do not require a Temporary Resident Visa to enter Canada, NAFTA/USMCA work permit applications may be done at a Port of Entry, at a Visa Office, or online.
