Grocery Items that can be brought to Canada

Hi,

Does anyone know the list of prohibited food items that cannot be brought to Canada.

We are from India and planning to bring some lentils (Daal/Pulses) and other grocery items such as Indian spices.

Can some one please help on what is allowed and what is not.

I really suggest you buy those here. I dont understand why you would want to carry all those which take up space and weight.

Its really not expensive to buy them here.

Most of the Canadian cities have Indian grocery available.
