Hello, I received a response in regards to a grievance appeal I had sent to Indian gov visa officials to reinstate evisa for Canadians. They indicated it has been restored as of today. Please check the updated list of eligible countries with Canada in it. I’m so glad because we had planned travel closer to our oath and watching delays and people scrambling to apply for visas concerned us. Hopefully no more hassle as you can secure one in 24 hours window.

Does anyone know how long is it taking to get e-visa to India currently?
The processing time for India e-visas is relatively quick. It usually takes between 3 and 5 business days. You can now apply for a double-entry visa, which grants you 30 days of stay in the country, or a multiple-entry visa, which allows you to stay for up to 90 days and is valid for one year
