I am from India. I don't know why

My mom is catholic born in Pakistan but her family is orginally from Goa india. My mom came to Canada when she was 10 years old so that is like 51 years in Canada my whole family is in canada even grandparents we have had family visiting us from India and Pakistan back in the 70s,80s,90s and early 2000s and we had no problems with cic but it depends from what region of India your from.

I second this comment. If her visa is being refused for lack of ties to her home country, a letter from MP won't do anything. Not saying this is the case with BethanyM but I'm seeing a lot of people contacting MPs for reasons that have nothing to do with CIC not doing their job.
The rejection letter issued by CIC and GCMS notes are different things. GCMS notes have to be requested separately through a freedom of information request and include all comments from the immigration officer on your mother's application. When you order the notes, you will know exactly what criteria your mother did not satisfy to get her visa approved.

My grandparents came here with 7 kids in 1964, my aunt was born in Canada so my grandma sister who been in Canada since 1950s sponsored my grandma and my grandpa plus whole family in 1963 so they all came together do my mom was 10 years old when they came so March 1,2017 will be 52 years in canada since my mom and her family came me plus sister and cousins are second generation Canadian when they immigrated no problem all easy in the 60s now it's hard
