Hi,

I wanted to ask if there are any Grad Programmes in Canada. At the moment, I'm doing an internship in Ireland and here there are many opportunities to jump into a Grad Programme, but I ignore if there are any in Canada or if they are called differently.

Also, do companies normally sponsor visas for grads?

Thanks!

Sure - there are things called grad programs in Canada (lots of them). However I'm not sure if your definition of a grad program is the same.

Not sure I understand what you mean by "do companies normally sponsor visas for grads".

for studying, check the below website;
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/study-institutions-list.asp

Once you are admitted in any graduate program you will have to apply for a study permit. No companies or colleges will sponsor you. Once program acceptance is made and you are offered admission in graduate study, you will have to apply on your own on the basis of admission letter from University.

One more important thing; most of universities admission date is opened now for summer & fall 2015 graduate studies and mostly the deadline is between february to March/April 2015. So you got to apply early.

For any further information, you can send me private message, as I myself working on it (admission in graduate studies)...

Regards

A graduate programme, as it is defined here in Ireland, would be a contract with a company normally for 1-3 years. It'd be like an internship but with more responsibility within the company. I know the name might be confusing, but it's not to study. Hence my question, do companies normally sponsor visas to grads? What I mean is if companies would sponsor the visa of graduates from other countries to work in their companies.

Thanks for all the replies!!
