I have worked in a government position for about 3 months about 5 years ago and I am NOT claiming any points for this experience. Is there any additional documents ( Schedule A - background) required/asked by IRCC for any government held positions?

If you have worked in government (not Public enterprises or govt backed orgs, but in govt departments), you need to declare that in the form given my IRCC. They may or may not ask additional docs. Upfront, there's no additional docs to be submitted afaik

A good way to know if you were directly under the government is if you were paid according to standard government pay bands (eg for India there is Grade A,B,C,D employee pay bands) If yes, you were a government employee. If no then not.

Ya. But In Gujarat first they hire as a temporary employee. After five years you will become permanent employee. I worked for four years on temporary basis. But ya it was a government job. I also had government ID which state that government of Gujarat.
