Got pragnant and visa is going to issue to husband ....please help

The agent specifically asked if there are any other children other than listed (Canadian children) in my wife's COPR before landing. So I assume children still needed to be added to the PR application file, including Canadian children.
 
OP - I'd follow up on that "pregnancy complication" ASAP and if at all possible travel to Canada to give birth like you originally intended. Looks like it could save you a hassle. Due 'end of July' right? You're still only in your second trimester.

I'm pretty sure only non-Canadian children need to be on COPR, and agent was asking about any children who should be listed as dependants not appearing on COPR.
Logically if children are already Canadian, they have absolutely no effect on the applicants landing process.

I agree with you on the dependent accompanying you that require PR as well. But how do you explain to the agent with a child in tow (canadian) and not have child not listed in the system. After all you are suppose to list all children before landing, canadian or otherwise.

So even if the child is canadian, CiC still need to be informed of this and added to the system.

I'm not sure what you mean by "in the system". What system? If the child is Canadian already, they can enter under their own merits as a Canadian.

The only place in the PR application form that a Canadian child would need to be listed, is in IMM5406 "Additional Family Info" form, Section B "Children". This is the same form you list parents and siblings.

I was under the impression that family members (including children) only listed on this 5406 form are not included on the COPR since they are not dependents, did not need medicals and so are not really part of the PR application. So even if you did update CIC office about your new Canadian child, I don't think COPR would need to be updated. Again i'm not 100% certain if Canadian children are listed on COPR, someone who has actually done this would need to confirm.

I mean "in the system" in that CIC has a record of canadian children listed associated with the applicant applying for PR. If CIC does not have a record of canadian children associated with applicant landing, can CIC deny the applicant PR status at landing because the applicant did not inform CIC record of all children prior to landing due to misrepresentation?

I know that the applicant would have to update the family information form. But does this need to be done before landing?

Could an agent see on the file that the applicant did not list all children, canadian or otherwise, at landing and thus deny the applicant PR status at landing?

How would the applicant explain to agent at landing that he/she has no children recorded in CIC information and yet has a canadian child in tow at landing?

While you should inform the visa office about the new family member, what I'm saying is that i'm not sure that new child will even appear on the COPR since it is not a dependent. Same way they don't care about the applicant's parents or siblings yet they are also listed on same form as the Canadian children. So the officer that does your landing should not care about the child, since it has no bearing on the application in general or on the landing.
 
What I will do is I will wait for my doctor if she says it's ok to travel then I will just email the abudhabi office that I am pragnant . And going to travel to Canada for the birth of baby and my due date is end of July. And I will cancel my dubai visa. My husband will travel to canada before first July.


As my placenta is low and this is medical condition if I travel I can bleed Thats why my doctor says no then I will have to email them about my whole situation with doctors note .....I will request them to extend the deadline. So when my baby will be born by end of July ....I will apply for my baby citizenship certificate .....and get his temporary passport as well if I have to travel early....then according to their requirement I will cancel my visa and go canada live there.


They might want the medical of my husband again .....we will do that as well. But I am just scared how long would they push the case then ....I don't want them to make it more longer .....and second thing is
Is that possible to get citizenship certificate of baby earlier because of our situation...we can't wait 14 months to get it....what will be the procedure to get his temporary passport....?

Also I guess I m not hiding anything from cic I will let them know about my pragnancy .....and then when the baby will be born I will let them know again...if they want me add him in the application I will do that .....otherwise I will tell them that I have applied for his citizenship certificate and get his temporary passport....then I will be in canada before my husband .....

Agreed. Canadian children are not listed on the COPR; only dependents that are also being sponsored are on the COPR.

You do not need to inform them of the pregnancy.

If the child is born before your husband lands as a PR, email the VO informing them of the birth. Sometimes they request a few forms be updated, sometimes they only ask for the child's birth certificate. If you receive no reply, your husband will need to do his landing. When he does, he can inform the landing officer about his new Canadian child. The border officer will not "ask him for the kid"; have him carry a copy of the email showing that you already informed the VO about the child. As the child is Canadian, there will be no issue.
 
Where are you planning to live in Canada? If you are planning to settle in ontario, you will not get health coverage for your baby delivery until 3 months after you arrive. You will have to cover the medical cost of delivering your baby yourself. Keep this in mind when you come to Canada for baby birth.

If you are moving to Alberta, then you would get coverage from the day you arrive in Alberta.

Different provinces have difference qualification rules to get health coverage.

I think OP mentioned above that she has a Mississauga address so yes, her OHIP wouldn't arrive until after the baby's due date in July. Unless she somehow still has a valid OHIP card from before? She did state that she is a Canadian citizen and not just PR.

I'm in Ontario and I'm waiting for my stage 1 approval of inland sponsorship before I can apply for OHIP, but our baby is due in 4 weeks! It will be somewhere between the $4-5,000 mark for us to have the baby without coverage. Health care is a privilege that I am looking forward to!

That depends. For example, if she lived in Ontario prior to being away (has an Ontario Health Card), and has been away for less than 6 months, then her OHIP coverage will not have lapsed.

I hear you Alicia. I figure the birth of our girl would have been 5 grand plus (2 nights in maternity ward), and that's not including the "C-section" (I have no idea what that's worth). Mama's coverage kicked in with less than 60 days to spare.
