Hello,

I will try to keep this brief.

I got PR via MPNP after receiving a program endorsement (which added MPNP points) from a rural community program, if it wasn't for this I would have not received ITA from MPNP

After getting my PR and landing in Manitoba, I spent about a month in an Airbnb in Winnipeg trying to look for rent in the said community but without much success. I even mailed the folks from that specific program asking for help.

A month later I signed a 1-year lease in Winnipeg.

Since then, I keep browsing the internet for rentals for that particular community, and 6 months later, today, I found one that is available, however, moving now would be a logistics and financial nightmare for me. Very bad timing.

My question is this... if I continue to live in Winnipeg, when I will be applying for Canadian Citizenship, will I risk having it declined due to misinterpretation since I didn't live in that rural community?

I'm thinking they could say this:

  1. Well, if it weren't for this rural community program you wouldn't have made it to MPNP ITA stage => you would've never gotten your PR, so you used this program to get your PR and never lived there, and/or:
  2. You spent only a month looking for a rental there, you didn't even try (well, technically 3 weeks, but my airbnb was running out and I was scared I would end up without housing)
Are my concerns above valid? Should I do whatever possible to move to that rural area even if it's incredibly bad timing right now?

Thank you! Sorry it's such a long wall of text
