First a great news!!! Got PER yesterday.

On the website of CIC it is given that there will be Background and security check. What is the difference between two? Do officials come to work place to verify if the applicant is working or not? I want to make sure everything is in place at the time of inquiry.

Can any senior member comment on it?

Is there any chance of being rejected after getting PER? For any doubt or clarification during background will CIC contact me or just refuse my application.

Also, I didn't submit police clearance certificates as they weren't ready at the time of application but now they are ready. What is the procedure of submitting police clearance certificate without being asked from VO?

I seek advice from senior members.

Dear Navneet, Congrats for the PER. There are chances of rejection till the visa is granted. Visa office does all the work and if they are not satisfied there is a rejection. In most cases they ask for clarifications if there is a doubt. No problem about police clearance, you can submit them now. Write a cover letter that you are submitting the pcc 's now as they were not processed at the time of application submission.

Thanks harry for the response. If you know any of the known scenarios for which any applicant got rejection please let me know.

And, should I send pcc to CIC or to visa office that I mentioned in my application?

Navneet send the PCC to the visa office you mentioned in your application.

I'd suggest not to submit any doc. until it's asked by VO...in many cases, new PCC were asked again despite of their submission along with application.

It is make to sure the candidate has maintained his/her clear background as the gap between PER and final processing runs over even a year in many cases and the candiddate might have done something illegal in the meanwhile.

But still if you want to take a chance, I'd suggest to ask VO at first if PCC is accaptable before VO asks for it.
To me, it'd be simply returned.

regards

Dear Mr Rana
I think Navneet has those PCC's with him now. If he has then they will be of no use once they are more than 3 months old. Vo will ask Navneet about PCC's for sure when he will send AOR.

Navneet send your PCC's if you have them so as to save time and money. If you send now you are safe for an year. Vo's dont return anything like this. I personally submitted PCC's of me and my wife before VO asked for them. Go ahead and send the PCC if you have them.
