Got my W1 work permit..what does it mean ?

I am working for a US company in Abu Dhabi and my nationality is Indian. There was an opening in Toronto in my company and I have been selected. My company had applied for ICT work permit to move me to Toronto. Our work permits have been approved and the visa stamped on my passport says W1.

Can experienced members explain to me what are the limitations/conditions of W1.

For PR what needs to be done next?

This is a standard closed work permit, allowing you to only work for your current employer. You could apply for PR under CEC after 1 year. Alternatively, you can also take a look at various PNP programs on all provinces.

My designation will be Base manager and the job role detailed in the letter to CIC is managing a team of engineers.

Is my assumption right that for PR..my profession will be classified under Engineering Manager and that should make the PR easier and faster?
