Hi LPS,
I am expecting my AOR in next 10 days, hopefully they won't reject my BOWP within next 10 days. Do you see any other issue in applying early?
From what I've heard here it is probably a safer bet to wait for your AOR if you can.

On the other hand, if your approach works then you won't be on implied status for long, which is a good thing too.

hey,

I pretty much in the same boat as ye but I have one quick question. I sent off my application for PR over 8 weeks ago but I still have not received my AOR and my WP expires on the 24th of this month. would you recommend that I mail my BOWP or do it online?

Mail it, chances are higher that you get your AOR on time using mail, as it's a slower process.
Even if your current WP expires before you hear back from CIC on your
BOWP application, you are on implied status as you applied for another work permit.

Mail it, as long as you don't mind being on implied status for potentially a couple of months, as opposed to a month for an online BOWP application (source - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp.asp ).

This has caused headaches for some people here (mainly those with travel plans) but if you're planning to stick around, mailing it will give that AOR more breathing room. 8)

Is your client number the number on your WP and how do you get your UCI if you have not heard back about your AOR?
Yes Client ID is your UCI and is mentioned on AOR and previous WPs. It's a 6 digiit number.

Did anybody get BOWP approved recently without submitting AOR ? I am also running into the same situation, I am afraid that I could be left with no time if I wait till I receive AOR. As per the current timelines if it takes 60 days to receive AOR, I am left with just 4 days before my current Closed WP expires.
