- Original updated police certificate from Iraq fro yourself
- Copy of your Iraqi Citizenship certificate
- Family list of civil status for yourself as married(possible)
- Employment letter for your sponsor from Canada

Why do they require another employment letter, I thought I already got approved in Mississauga?

I already had done the police certificate they need anther one?

Should I get her new medical done and get her to gather all of the required information and send it? Or should I hold off and wait on their email asking for this. I cant login to ECAS as its down for me as to check my status..

Please let me know my options.

Like medicals, police certificates expire after 1 year and may need to be re-done if your application takes longer than a year.

You may need a letter of employment to show that you are able to support yourselves if granted PR. You have passed sponsor eligibility, but the VO may want to confirm that you can still afford to live in Canada as PR's without welfare.

As for doing your medicals before being asked, it's up to you. Medicals can only be extended by the VO if they expired very close to the time they are about to grant you PR. If your medicals expired in 2012, which yours likely did, it is unlikely that they will extend them. You will probably have to re-do them. If you want to re-do them early, you can, although the VO often says not to do this and some doctors will not re-do the medical without a letter from your VO saying you need them re-done. Some, however, will do them. Many people prefer to do their medicals on their own (without being asked) to save time. Others swear that you should not and you should only do what the VO tells you about medicals, to prevent confusion. It's up to you, but I do believe you will have to re-do them at some point (they won't probably be extended), so you can decide to do them now or wait...

I now can login to my ECAS and it says

We started processing XXXXX XXXXX's application on February 3, 2013.

Now the real question is should I go ahead with getting medical done or should I hold off, assuming that they are gonna require a new medical anyways I think I should. Is it better to hold off a couple weeks or should I just get them done A.S.A.P?

Some doctors won't redo medicals without the request from the VO or so I have heard. Also, some people advise against doing them before being asked to.

Hopefully someone that has done it will reply.

Take Care,
