1 - Are there specific companies you need to use? (When we were looking around nobody knew anything about visa regs n customs exemption etc)
2 - What about if i was already in canada waiting it out on a visitor visa (therefore had a suitcase of clothes) Do i put this on my good to follow list too and just state it is in the country?
3 - What about my cats, they will also be coming with me and my husband to wait out the visa process (As they are his cats as much as mine)
4 - We have everything boxed up now, and to my knowledge nothing i've packed has a serial number - is it a huge deal if something does and i've not realised?
5 - We have a few dried roses from our wedding both in containers. Is it possible to take these with us? Or are we going to have to toss them out. I know taking actual flowers is prohibited, but was just wondering if the same applied when they had been dried.

I know there's another similar thread but i just didn't want to hijack :)

I drove my goods across US to Canada in a uhaul truck shortly after the new year. I did not list anything on the goods to follow form that was already in Canada when I arrived as a visitor. I also didn't have anything of significant value. I had two tvs (old and small) and I did not list the serial numbers. If I were you I would put the dried wedding flowers in a box and not list them. Customs is worried about invasive and contaminated plants and insects...a few dried roses in a container shouldn't pose a problem.

When I arrived at the border the agent looked at my goods to follow list, gave me a yellow piece of paper that said "verify" (my list was short and my truck was large). The customs agent asked if I had anything that I hadn't already declared. I said yes, a humidifier that I received as a Christmas gift. He asked its value, stamped my form and sent me on my way. They never even looked inside the truck.
