Right! It's done! Complete! Finished! Now I need to remember what my life was like before all this!!!

Now that it's been sent, what should I expect besides the wait?

It feels good to be finished. I think I've put together a pretty awesome package. There shouldn't be any doubt as to whether our relationship is genuine, especially because we have the cutest little boy in the world!

Anyway, I'd like to thank all members who have contributed advice and time. Seriously, if I could take you all out for a nice meal, I would. You don't know how grateful I am to all of you! My wife also wishes to express her gratitude and thanks!

I'll still be posting...and I'll definitely update our progress...hopefully CIC will get their act together and all will be good.

Cheers!

Congrats!! ;D! bout time! What you should do is try your best to forget it for now, busy yourself with normal daily activity. You will drive yourself insane with wondering. Just try relax, and know that everything will be fine.

Congrats FS.

Now the waiting game starts, but it seems that you have a pretty strong case. Now expect 55 days in Mississauga then another 20-30 days until the file reaches HK, when your wife will receive an e-mail, and from there, based on what you posted, just a few months (might be 4-6)

Where abouts do you live ? In China ? Maybe we could meet there. I am coming to HK in June.

Best of luck.

Hey guys, thanks!

Yes, I will be anxiously awaiting word from CIC...but at least the paranoia has dissipated...it'll be back again in a few moments, though.... :P

I live in Guangzhou. If you have time and you're in my neck of the woods, by all means, let's meet up.

Cheers,
FS

:-X I have a feeling you will agonizingly annoy your wife by being so anxious LOL but I am sure thats why she loves you so much :D :D :D :D It's ok, I am pretty sure I annoyed the hell outta my husband the past few months lol.

Totally....we used her parents' address for receiving mail...so they'll be getting a taste of the anxiety as well....that's what families are for, no?? ;D

I must send your parents a letter of comfort :P

They'd prefer a load of bricks and mortar...

lmao! :D

I forgot to mention they're building a moat...bloody hell...and they say "We miss you...come home!"...sheesh.

Congrats!! Your application will breeze through. The waiting is hard but at least all that work is done.

I sent out mine yesterday and on and off I keep saying to my husband, I can't believe we're going to be moving back to Toronto soon. It just feels surreal that we finally sent it off and going to be living there soon oneday. I've waited for over 10 years to move back!!! I'm so glad you sent yours off too! I sent it express for $40 but worth it...get to track it and going to get it signed when they receive it...should take 3 to 5 days they said.

From China to Canada, via UPS Expedited...USD$100. Worth every penny! Glad you sent yours...here's hoping for the best!

Cheers,

FS

I will send mine tomorrow. Monday 9th. Its quite a load. I hope they have big enough envelopes. Took pictures of this mother load. I have done my own application 15 years ago in Germany and i sponsored my parents 10 years ago but this package is twice the size of both applications together. :o
