It is nowhere close to being approved. Your friend is misinformed.Need Canadian Pr said:HI one of my friend said , GOOD NEWS bill c-6 - is approved

It was reported to the House of Commons, and will be read the third time soon, but there hasn't really been any schedule for the third reading yet. After it passes the lower house (which should be a matter of formality at this point), it will then follow the same procedures at the senate as well.skidmarkz said:Any official announcements yet?

it will be approved by july 1 2016meyakanor said:It was reported to the House of Commons, and will be read the third time soon, but there hasn't really been any schedule for the third reading yet. Bill C-24 was rammed through the parliament (House and Senate) without a single amendment or consideration to witnesses and stakeholders. Bill C-6 has already several amendments which have been accepted or considered, and I believe it may receive even more amendments in the Senate (or even, God forbid, voted down; it has been known to vote down a bill which passed the democratically elected house, namely, Bill C-311 which received majority of votes in the house, but voted down in the Senate), so we'll see how it's going to turn out and how long it's going to take.
