Going to apply for citizenship...what should I do about my newly wed?

Hi everyone,

First of all I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question but please forgive my ignorance since I'm new here.

I'm going to apply for citizenship under the new law (bill c-6) in 2018. I got married about 6 months ago and my wife is a foreign citizen. When I fill out the application form, should I fill out one for her too or do I just apply for myself and ignore her status all together?

After/if I become a Canadian citizen, what would my wife's status be? Can she become a citizen too?

I would greatly appreciate any help I can get.

No unless she is a permanent resident for Canada AND met the requirements for citizenship.. if she is foreign resident.. she won't gain status if you become citizen
