Hi guys. Thank you in advance for taking your time to answer my questions.

I recently finished my masters in December and I applied for my PGWP. I haven’t gotten itbecause it takes like 6months to process online. I am thinking of going back to college for a career change, my current work permit expires in August.
I am worried if I can go back to school after applying for my PGWP and if that will have any negative effects on my PGWP and PR.
Also, I’m working full time now towards my CEC and I’m only two months in, if I eventually start this school, CEC doesn’t count any full time work you do while working as a full time student, will this be the case even though I’m on PGWP.

looking forward to your response.

thanks.

Why are you doing this to yourself is my first question but I'll try to address your concerns.. What expires in August 2023, your current study permit or work permit? You said the PGWP was still pending so why do you have a work permit to August? Another thing, if it is a current study permit you are talking about, then it is not valid for continued study because you completed your program in December. Only If the next study program was in the same field but at a higher level, then you could continue to study through august 2023. If it is in another field, then you will need to inform IRCC of the change and let them advise whether or not a new study permit is needed.

Unless you withdraw the PGWP application it will be granted and you can get only 1. It will be a difficult task to convince IRCC that you are both a full time student and a full time worker. You only have so many hrs in the day. You can work full time on the PGWP while having a study permit , but doing them both can not be full time. Explaining this would be your biggest obstacle when it comes to PR. Granted, if you go the route of PNP you may not need to explain this. However, you are talking about CEC.

Final thought, you only get one PGWP regardless of how many times you go back to school. Instead of the mind numbing plan you have above, try and focus on getting PR with what you have already. When you are a permanent resident, you can go back to school, open your own zoo or be an astronaut. Should I even mention that studying is 3 times cheaper as a PR versus an international student. Don't mess up a good track to PR just because you saw something in another area that looks good from the outside.

Thank you so much for your good advice.
It is my study permit that’s still valid till august, my PGWP is still under processing.
I really appreciate. I’ll wait till I get my PR then.
