Hello everyone

I am hoping I am correct - but please can someone confirm this for me.
Once we land in Canada, my partner and I have planned a one month vacation before starting work. In that time we were planning on taking a trip somewhere exotic (outside Canada) for some sunshine...

I have read so many topics that state you cannot leave Canada before your PR card is issued. Is this statement still true if I am Visa Exempt?

I was under the impression that if you are visa exempt you could come and go as you please, even if you don't have your PR card yet?

Please can someone confirm this for me.

Thanks

No, you can leave Canada before your PR card is issued.

If you are visa exempt, you should still carry your landing documents to prove your PR status when you enter but it should not be a problem.

Thanks for confirming steaky and Leon. That's a relief.

In terms of landing documents, would I need anything else other than my COPR and permanent resident visa plus passport?

Thanks again

No, you shouldn't need anything else.

We travelled before we had it and didn't have an issue.
