Giving birth in Edmonton for non PR

Hi all,
My wife just graduated from UofA and now we are waiting for post graduation work permit (I have OPW). She is pregnant and I have some questions:
1. how much will cost to give birth in Edmonton if we are not PR?
2. what will cover our Alberta health care insurance?

If you have Alberta Health, it will cover everything except if you take an ambulance to the hospital. For that you have to pay.

According to http://www.health.alberta.ca/services/EHS-who-pays.html it costs $385 so it would be cheaper to take a taxi or drive yourself.

It also costs extra if your wife wants to have a private room.
